'Henrietta Street' is a portrait of the artists and studios of No. 6 Henrietta Street. Henrietta street and it's houses have a long and chequered history.
Built in the early 1700s, they were once the finest townhouses in early Georgian Dublin. But by 1900 the houses had become some of the worst tenement slums in Dublin, with up to 100 people living in one house.
In the mid 1970s the slums were cleared and the houses changed use again. No 6 then became artists studios. 2026 is the last year of use as studios, as the house is cleared once again to begin another chapter and much needed renovation.
